Plagron Hydro Cocos 60/40 is a ready-mixed growing medium that combines 60% Euro Pebbles with 40% Cocos Premium, bringing together the best of both substrates in a single bag. The clay pebbles deliver excellent drainage and a high air content around the root zone, while the buffered coco retains water and nutrients, giving plants a stable, responsive base to grow in.
The result is a free-draining yet moisture-holding medium that's particularly well suited to pot growing and recirculation systems, where consistent aeration and reliable feeding are key.
Aeration meets retention
The 60/40 blend is designed to balance two important qualities. The Euro Pebbles keep the mix open and oxygen-rich, helping prevent waterlogging and encouraging strong, healthy root development. The Cocos Premium element holds onto water and nutrients between feeds, so plants stay evenly supplied. Together they create a medium that drains freely without drying out too quickly.
