🎙️4️⃣  Session 04 — Recap & Looking Forward — The June 2026 Growers Forum

The fourth session of The Growers Forum brought together the key discussions and progress made throughout the first three meetings.

Rather than focusing on a single brand, this session acted as a wider industry round-up, giving retailers the opportunity to reflect on the conversations around Shogun, Omega Lighting, and Plagron, while sharing feedback on how the market has developed over recent months.

What Was Discussed

With several important pricing conversations now underway across the industry, this session focused on reviewing the progress made so far and hearing directly from retailers about what they're seeing in the market.

The discussion focused on several key areas:

  • Feedback from previous Growers Forum sessions
  • Updates on Shogun, Omega, and Plagron RRP activity
  • Are retailers seeing improvements in the market?
  • Ongoing pricing and margin challenges
  • Open discussion and retailer feedback

The conversation reinforced many of the themes that have been present since the launch of The Growers Forum. While pricing pressure and margin challenges remain, retailers agreed that open communication and greater visibility are helping to build a clearer understanding of the issues affecting the industry.

The session also provided an opportunity to reflect on the positive engagement from retailers, suppliers, and distributors over the past four meetings, demonstrating the value of bringing the industry together for honest and constructive discussion.

Reflecting on the First Four Sessions

Since launching earlier this year, The Growers Forum has covered a range of important topics, from Shogun pricing and Omega Lighting to Plagron's updated RRP structure.

Each session has encouraged retailers to share their experiences, ask questions, and contribute to wider discussions around pricing, market stability, and sustainable margins.

While there is still work to do, the conversations so far have shown a genuine willingness across the industry to work towards healthier pricing behaviour and a stronger retail environment for everyone involved.

Looking Ahead

There will be no Growers Forum session in July as the Eden team prepares for the UK Hydro Expo.

We'll be back in August, and it's set to be one of our biggest sessions yet.

As well as reviewing everything that happened at the UK Hydro Expo, Carl will be answering your questions live during the forum.

Whether you have a growing challenge, a question about a product, or simply want to hear Carl's thoughts on a topic affecting the industry, we'd love to hear from you.
