How It Works
The Bluelab V2 Truncheon CF/EC/PPM Meter is hailed as the ultimate nutrient strength meter for good reason. It measures the electrical conductivity of your nutrient solution through electrodes at its base. The results are displayed on a series of bright blue LED indicators, calibrated in popular scales like CF, EC, and PPM. The electrodes are of superior quality and protected by a slotted plastic shroud, ensuring longevity.
This meter operates efficiently, automatically switching on when submerged in liquid and powering off when removed, conserving battery life. Temperature compensation further guarantees accuracy. The entirety of the Truncheon is constructed from robust, waterproof plastic, and its ergonomic design even allows for efficient stirring of your nutrient solution.
Using the Bluelab V2 Truncheon CF/EC/PPM Meter
To achieve precise nutrient strength measurements, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Prepare your nutrient solution as per the manufacturer's recommendations and stir it thoroughly.
Step 2: Submerge the end of the Bluelab V2 Truncheon, ensuring the probe-shroud is underwater, and let it sit for 1-2 minutes to equalise to the solution's temperature.
Step 3: Remove the Truncheon and re-dip it to obtain your reading. The flashing display will provide you with accurate measurements in CF, EC, and PPM scales.
Adjust your nutrient solution as needed by adding more nutrients or diluting with water to reach the desired strength. Always rinse the probes with fresh water after use and clean them weekly with an appropriate cleaner, such as the Bluelab Conductivity Probe Cleaning Kit, to maintain accuracy, reliability, and probe longevity.
