Mills Basis A + B Hard/Soft Water

Organo-Mineral Base Nutrients For Hard Water

Basis A&B is a premium, highly concentrated two-part base nutrient designed specifically for hard water. This advanced organo-mineral NPK formula delivers precise, consistent nutrition throughout both the vegetative and flowering stages, combining the power of mineral salts with organic additives for superior plant performance.

Unlike standard mineral feeds, Basis A&B bridges the gap between hydroponic precision and organic quality — giving growers the best of both worlds. Its unique formulation allows plants to absorb nutrients across a wider pH range than competing base nutrients, making it one of the most forgiving, beginner-friendly feeds on the market.

Key Benefits Of Basis A&B Base Nutrients

Why Choose Basis A&B For Hard Water Growing

Hard water growers face unique challenges with nutrient lockout and pH instability. Basis A&B is specifically formulated to overcome these issues, ensuring reliable nutrient availability and consistent results whether you’re growing in soil, coco, or a full hydroponic setup.

Mills Basis A + B Soft Water

Organo-Mineral Base Nutrients For Soft Water

Basis A&B Soft Water is a premium, highly concentrated two-part base nutrient engineered specifically for soft water growing environments. This advanced organo-mineral NPK formula delivers precise, consistent nutrition throughout both the vegetative and flowering stages, seamlessly blending mineral salts with organic additives for exceptional plant performance.

Soft water and reverse osmosis (RO) filtered water naturally contains lower starting EC levels and reduced concentrations of key secondary macronutrients — particularly calcium and magnesium. Basis A&B Soft Water directly addresses this by incorporating enhanced levels of both, ensuring your plants never experience deficiencies that could compromise growth rates or final yields.

Whether you’re growing in soil, coco coir, or a hydroponic system, Basis A&B Soft Water’s wide pH absorption range makes it one of the most forgiving and easy-to-use base nutrients available — ideal for both beginner and experienced growers alike.

Key Benefits Of Basis A&B Soft Water Base Nutrients

• Formulated specifically to optimise growth rates in soft water areas and RO water setups
• Enhanced calcium (Part A) and magnesium (Part B) levels to compensate for soft water deficiencies
• Promotes rapid cell division for faster, stronger growth across all stages
• Unique organo-mineral blend combines mineral salts with organic additives
• Accelerates photosynthesis for improved energy production and plant vigour
• Contains chelated red iron to support chlorophyll production and healthy green growth
• Suitable for soil, coco coir, and hydroponic systems — versatile across all grow media
• Enhances nutrient transportation and uptake efficiency throughout the plant
• Fortified with a comprehensive spectrum of essential trace elements and micronutrients
• Actively stimulates and strengthens the plant’s natural immune system
• Available in four sizes: 1L, 5L, 10L, and 20L to suit all scales of grow

Why Soft Water Growers Need A Specialist Base Nutrient

Standard base nutrients are formulated assuming a baseline level of calcium and magnesium already present in the water supply. In soft water regions — or when using RO filtration — those baseline minerals are absent, which can lead to stunted growth, yellowing leaves, and reduced yields. Basis A&B Soft Water is precisely calibrated to fill that gap, delivering 100% optimised nutrition from day one.

How To Use Basis A&B Soft Water

Basis A&B Soft Water is compatible with all growing media and watering methods, making it straightforward to incorporate into any feeding regime.

Use equal amounts of both Part A and Part B at a rate of 1ml–3.5ml per litre of water, adjusting gradually until you reach your desired nutrient strength.
